Proceedings of the society were published with the Transactions up to and including 1925 (except in 1st series, volume 4 and 3rd series, volumes 3-4; The journal of proceedings from Jan. 1840-Dec. 1846, though listed in contents of 1st series, volume 4, was published separately). Since 1926 the Proceedings have been published in a separate series. A detailed tabulated statement of the collation and dates of issue of the Proceedings published 1834-1895 may be found in an article in the Transactions for 1911, p. 750-767, entitled: On the dates of the publications of the Entomological Society of London, by the Rev. G. Wheeler
The earlier volumes were issued in series as follows: volumes 1-5 (1834/36-1847/49); new series, volumes 1-5 (1850/1852-1859/1861); 3rd series, volumes 1-5 (1862/1864-1865/1868). From 1868-1925 the volumes were not numbered; in 1926 a consecutive numbering as from the beginning was adopted, thus the 3 earlier series form volumes [1-15]; 1868-1925 form volumes [16-73]; 1926-1932 form volumes 74-80
List of fellows in 1st series, volumes 1-3; new series, volumes 1-5; 3rd series, volumes 1-2, 5; and in volumes for 1868-1925 (volumes [16-73])
General index to volumes 1-5: 1st series, volume 5, 1847/1849, p. [237]-254; General index to the 5 volumes composing the second or new series: new series, volume 5, 1859/1861 (Proceedings) p. [189]-249
